Crawling on his stomach, along Queen West, for four blocks literraly carrying a weight of the world on his back, all to demonstrate through an act of penance our place within nature and our effect on the world, our actions of environmental destruction. Gareth Bate valiently puts his humble yet joy-filled example forth, all in the cause of awareness of our mistreatment of the natural world through the sweat of his life. Th ename of the painting is "Lament" done in acrylic on wood, representing 'sorrow and loss.' The name of the artist is Gareth Bate.
